Mancera Perfumes
Mancera shares its founder and much of its DNA with Montale, but works in a slightly more approachable register — the same generous concentrations, applied to more conventionally pretty compositions.
The essentials
Cedrat Boisé is the best-known: lemon and pineapple over woods, bright at the opening and surprisingly long-lived. Roses Vanille is the women's counterpart and one of the most-loved rose-vanilla compositions made. Red Tobacco is spicy and dense; Coco Vanille creamy and tropical; Instant Crush sweet and almondy.
The 120ml bottles are unusually generous for niche pricing.
